Dear God (The Holy Trinity)

Thank You for reminding me of the importance of sometimes having a small mouth, big ears, and big eyes thus enabling me to be a good listener and watchful.

Yesterday's visit from a friend gave me insight on just how some churchgoers truly do not engage in worshiping You because many are caught up in strife, divisiveness, gossip, competition, control, selfish acts of who's better at what job one does within the church and/ or they become caught up in glorifying their pastors and first ladies of the church; seeking his or her approval.

I find that many church goers are truly in the outer courts, just as You have shown me, they cannot see the forest for the trees. I am grateful to You God for showing me that I do not need a church home to worship and praise You, and honestly, I know that being a regular church goer in lieu of seeking You out on my own I would never have gotten to know You intimately, and I would still be in the outer-courts, perhaps never venturing into the inner-courts and the holy-of-holies.

I reminded my friend, yet again, that those acts of discord only serve to glorify Satan, the devil.

When are people going to wake up and realize that to glorify You (God) one has to walk in fear of You exhibiting the fruits of the spirit according to the book of Galatians?

Galatians 5:19-26 New International Version (NIV)

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Nonetheless, I shall continue to pray for my friend, her fellow churchgoers and the pastor in hope of them becoming united and serving and glorifying and worshiping You (God: The Holy Trinity). In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
