In The Beginning:

My Spiritual Journey

March of 2014 is when I made the decision to know my Creator. Throughout my adult life people would quote scriptures to me and/ or just in a general conversation they would refer to certain scriptures; however, some of these people did not live up to the scriptures. Their lifestyle and demeanor did not depict the scripture which they so readily spoke of or wrote of; however, I was in a position in which I knew "of God" thus making it difficult to engage in a conversation about something I knew so little of. 

Today, I not only know "of" God I know Him intimately. Glory Hallelujah!

I began my journey with reading the bible cover-to-cover. There were days when I would have to put my reading on hold because much of the old testament was truly deep and I would pace the floor speaking to God asking Him for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding  as to why some of the things that took place was allowed. For instance; the Book of Job was deep and it took months before God's wisdom marinated into my brain to a degree in which I got it! For me, some of the scriptures were like working an algebra formula, but once I got it, I was wowed and ever so grateful for the divine revelation.  

Moving On:

I have since learned that there are many sayers of the Word, but there are few doers of the Word.

James 1:22-25 New King James Version (NKJV)

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

God tells us in His Word, draw nigh to me and I will draw nigh to you; and true to His Word, He has done just that for me. Glory Hallelujah!

James 4:8 New International Version (NIV)

8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
 

One cannot be a shallow or surface reader of the Word, God's Word is far deeper. I am continously having divine revelations coupled with an arsenal of books and DVDs from a number of Christian Authors whose wisdom and calling proves to be an added bonus for my wisdom, knowledge and understanding; thus, giving credence to thier means of disecting, digesting, and sorting out specific areas of God's Word in accordance to the Christian Author's calling and/ or interest.
